Easy Crab Rangoon Egg Rolls

Crispy, creamy, and packed with flavor—perfect for any occasion!

If your family loves Chinese takeout as much as mine does, you know how hard it is to resist a plate of Crab Rangoon. But what if you could enjoy that same creamy-crunchy goodness right at home, without breaking the bank? These Crab Rangoon Egg Rolls are the ultimate homemade twist on a takeout classic—and they're easier than you think!

🛒 Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • 8 oz fresh cooked crab meat, flaked

  • 3 green onions, finely chopped

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 8 egg roll or wonton wrappers

Oil for frying

👩‍🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions:

1️⃣ Prepare the Filling:

Heat 2 inches of oil in a large, deep skillet or pan. Bring it to 350–375°F (175–190°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and chopped green onions. Mix until completely smooth and well-blended.

2️⃣ Add the Crab:

Gently fold in the flaked crab meat until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

3️⃣ Assemble the Egg Rolls:

Lay all 8 wrappers on a clean surface. Place a heaping spoonful of the filling into the center of each wrapper, shaping it into a log-like form.

Fold in the sides of the wrapper, then roll tightly from bottom to top. Seal the edge by dabbing a bit of water under the flap with your finger—this helps the roll stay closed during frying.

4️⃣ Fry to Golden Perfection:

Carefully place the egg rolls seam-side down into the hot oil. Fry in batches, turning gently to ensure they brown evenly on all sides—about 2–3 minutes per roll.

5️⃣ Drain and Serve:

Remove each egg roll with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined rack to drain excess oil.

🥢 Serve With Your Favorite Dipping Sauces:

  • Sweet & Sour Sauce

  • Duck Sauce

  • Spicy Mustard

  • Soy Sauce

🔥 Pro Tip: Want to make them in an air fryer? Lightly spray with oil and air fry at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.

These crispy, cheesy, crabby bites are guaranteed to be a hit—whether you're feeding a crowd or treating yourself. Enjoy every crunchy, creamy bite!
