These cheesy, savory bites are like a cheeseburger wrapped up in golden, buttery dough. Easy to make, kid-friendly, and customizable!
π Ingredients:
For the Filling:

1 lb (450g) ground beef

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper
-
½ teaspoon garlic powder
-
½ teaspoon onion powder
For the Stuffing:

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or about 16–20 small cubes of cheese)

Optional: ¼ cup finely chopped pickles or bacon bits
For the Dough:

1 package (8 oz / ~225g) refrigerated biscuit dough or pizza dough (about 8–10 pieces)

All-purpose flour (for dusting, if using pizza dough)
For the Topping:

1 tablespoon melted butter
-
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Optional: a pinch of garlic salt or Italian seasoning

1. Prepare the Oven and Baking Sheet

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with oil or butter.
2. Cook the Ground Beef Filling

In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked (about 5–7 minutes), breaking it apart with a spatula.

Drain any excess grease.

Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Remove from heat and let it cool slightly, then mix in any optional add-ins like chopped pickles or cooked bacon.
3. Prepare the Dough

If using biscuit dough, separate it into individual rounds.

If using pizza dough, divide into 8–10 equal portions and roll each into a small ball.

Flatten each piece into a 3–4 inch circle on a floured surface.
4. Assemble the Bites

Place a spoonful of the beef mixture (about 1 tablespoon) in the center of each dough round.

Add a cube or pinch of shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef.

Carefully fold the edges up over the filling, pinching to seal and form a ball.

Roll gently in your hands to smooth the shape.

Place seam-side down on your baking sheet.
5. Add Toppings (Optional but Delicious!)

Brush each ball with melted butter.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds, garlic salt, or a light dusting of herbs for extra flavor.
6. Bake to Golden Perfection

Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the bites are puffed and golden brown.

If the tops aren’t browning evenly, turn the tray halfway through baking.
7. Cool Slightly and Serve

Let the bites rest for 3–5 minutes after baking.
