🍫 Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake

🧁 Ingredients

🍰 For the Cake Base:

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp salt

1️⃣ Make the Cake Layer

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

  • In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder.

  • Add milk, eggs, and vanilla; mix until smooth.

  • Pour into a lined 9-inch round cake pan.

  • Bake 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Let cool completely.


2️⃣ Prepare the Mousse Layers

  • Whip cream with sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.

  • Divide into 3 equal parts.

  • Gently fold each part into the melted dark, milk, and white chocolates separately.


3️⃣ Assemble the Cake

  • Place the cooled cake base on a serving plate or inside a springform pan.

  • Layer the dark chocolate mousse over the cake. Chill 15–20 minutes.

  • Add milk chocolate mousse. Chill again.

  • Finish with white chocolate mousse and smooth the top.

  • Chill for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.


4️⃣ Optional Glaze

  • Melt chocolate chips with butter until smooth. Let cool slightly.

  • Pour over the chilled mousse cake for a glossy finish.
