1. Bake the Vanilla Cake Layers

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and line two 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3β4 minutes).

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Mix in the vanilla extract.
