Ingredients:

  • 4 large strawberries, hulled and chopped

  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon)

  • ¾ oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)

  • 2 oz bourbon whiskey

  • Ice

  • Optional: egg white (for a frothy top)

  • Garnish: strawberry slice or lemon wheel


Instructions:

  1. Muddle the Strawberries
    In a shaker, muddle the chopped strawberries until they're fully mashed and juicy.

  2. Add the Rest
    Add the lemon juice, simple syrup, and bourbon to the shaker.

  3. Shake Without Ice (Dry Shake)
    If using egg white, shake everything without ice for about 10 seconds to build foam.

  4. Shake With Ice
    Add ice and shake vigorously for another 15 seconds until chilled.
